Dear Voices of Hope,

Calling all singers!  Have you already been singing with Voices of Hope?  We’re excited for you to join us again.  Are you new?  Please feel free to contact me to learn more about our Desert Hope choral ministries.  Also, please be sure to tell a friend about choir — what a great way to get involved!

The Music

Voices of Hope choir will sing as part of the Reformation Sunday service on October 25, 2026 at 9:30AM. “Were It Not for Grace,” by David Hamilton and Phil McHugh, is a beautiful ballad arranged by Greg Wiggins. The arrangement moves “gracefully” through several keys, offering the listener gentle tonal surprises along the way. Different voice parts take turns carrying the melody, creating a sense of variety and unity. Toward the end, the piece transitions into a brief version of “Amazing Grace” before concluding with a tender finish.

The Schedule

Below is our rehearsal schedule.  Since there are only four full-group rehearsals total, we ask that you make every effort to join us for all four.  If for any reason it turns out that you end up not being able to make it to at least three of the four, you would not be able to participate in the choir presentation this time around.

  • Rehearsal #1:  Wednesday, September 30, 7:15-8:15PM 
  • Rehearsal #2:  Wednesday, October 7, 7:15-8:15PM
  • Rehearsal #3:  Wednesday, October 14, 7:15-8:15PM
  • Rehearsal #4:  Wednesday, October 21, 7:15-8:15PM
  • Sound Check:  Sunday, October 25, 8:30AM
  • Service:  Sunday, October 25, 9:30AM
