Back-to-School Supply Drive

This ministry of hope takes the worry from students whose families are struggling within our Gridley School community and allows them to concentrate on learning. We collect items late spring and summer and supply backpacks and necessary school supplies to prepare the students for the start of the school year.

Children’s Ministry

We provide care and attention to our youngest church members during worship time. There are always two (minimum) adult volunteers available each Sunday, which include a Nursery Leader, Lesson Leader and Volunteer. The Sunday Team provides childcare for babies and toddlers and a prearranged lesson plan for children 5 and up each Sunday Morning during the sermon. Ideally, each individual or team will volunteer one Sunday a month. If you feel called to volunteer in this ministry, we would love to have you!

Crafters' Fellowship

Crafters’ Ministry is truly a ministry. These women (men are more than welcome) are busy ladies who keep their hands moving. We love to knit, crochet, paper craft/scrapbook, sew and do other crafts. If you want to learn a new craft, we probably have someone knowledgeable who would love to help you. Bring your item to work on and join the fellowship. We support each other with fun and prayer.

Holiday Food Baskets

During the Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas seasons, our food basket ministry provides financially strapped families within our Gridley School community with a holiday meal and food supplies for a week. The month prior, we collect canned goods and boxed foods. We pack and deliver baskets with perishables to families the week prior to the holiday. Extra hands are always welcome.

CarePortal LogoThe Global Orphan Project, Inc. is a global Orphan Care and Orphan Prevention ministry headquartered in Kansas City. As part of their ministry, they created CarePortal. Through relationships accelerated by technology, CarePortal empowers local churches and agencies to partner and establish a culture of Church-Centered Child Welfare. The barriers between the child welfare system and the church are removed and a clear opportunity to serve is available.

By providing some basic needs such as cribs or beds, couches, dining sets, a paid utility bill, or help to stop a bug infestation, we can help provide safety and keep a family together, stabilize a foster or kin placement or reunify a family, preserve adoptive placement or finalize adoption, or help prepare a youth for independence.
